Our headquarters are located in the beautiful town of Oakville. JOB SUMMARY Our SaaS products are the leading IoT, analytics and digital factory platform for the manufacturing sector. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and to have a big impact in various areas of our entrepreneurial and rapidly expanding company. You will be an integral part of Shoplogix’s Operations & Growth team. This position will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and providing actionable reports and insights on our verticals’ market and competitive landscape, to help our teams make informed business decisions through intelligence. This role will interact with our cross functional team and also be customer facing from time to time. Job Responsibilities: 
  • Research, gather and analyze large sets of data on customers, competitors and market intelligence (while ensuring intelligence-gathering activities meet professional ethics)
  • Turn data into insights and actionable reports/presentations with recommendations for marketing, sales and operations team
  • Research industry and maintain awareness of relevant technology & business trends impacting our targeted verticals (Ideal candidate has experience or awareness of technology trends in the manufacturing sector and is passionate about technology and digital innovation in this space)
  • Assist with new product opportunities & launches by performing market trends research, analysis of the competitive landscape and product rationalization
  • Develop and maintain a database of direct and indirect competitors to support product, marketing partnership and company acquisition initiatives
  • Conduct customer and prospect win/loss interviews to better understand product fit by vertical and competitive offerings
  • Develop “battle cards” to help the sales team position our offerings against selected competitors
  • From time-to-time, can be assigned projects outside of the market & competitive research analysis to help optimize our internal processes and grow our business
Required Skills: 
  • Ability to research, interpret and get insights from large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of data collection methods such as surveys, polls, focus groups, etc.
  • Demonstrated business research tools acumen (search engine & web analytics)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and digitization in manufacturing is ideal
  • Excellent written, communication, planning & presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinker
  • High technical aptitude
  • Can evaluate, offer improvement ideas and implement changes to processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and manage multiple priorities, when needed
  • Tremendous drive and always looking for better ways of doing things
  • A “Can-do” attitude and willing to jump in where needed, taking initiative is second nature
  • Experience with and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Google Suite
Experience & Qualification: 
  • 1-5 years in a similar position or in a role incorporating business systems (ideal if candidate has market research, competitive analysis or manufacturing operational excellence experience)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Stats or related field
